Beds: 4K 1 Q Bunk 2 Sleeper Sofas
After resting for a bit, fire up the charcoal or gas grills on the gazebo for a barbecue shindig, then enjoy an epic movie night with your favorite DVDs on big screen TV inside. On cooler evenings, get a toasty fire going in the living room’s stacked-stone gas fireplace, whip up a fresh batch of cocoa (with extra marshmallows), grab a good book, and read the night away. Looking for something a touch more exciting? Bust out the family board games in the dining area, challenge your bestie to an arcade match, or take on the whole gang at the pool table. And let’s not forget the bonus amenities downstairs! Splash around, teach your youngest to swim, and play for hours on end in the private indoor pool, featuring stunning mountain views through large windows. And when your tired muscles are ready, hop into the bubbly hot tub for a soothing soak surrounded by nature. Please be aware we do not provide additional towels for the pool or hot tub. You will definitely want to bring your own beach towel.
Now, it’s time to head to dreamland in one of 5 bedrooms, 4 with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom (some with shower/tub combos) and 1 with a queen-size bunk bed. One of 2 master suites even come with a mood-setting electric fireplace for romantic evenings. There are also 2 queen sleepers in the home, bringing the possible guest total to 16. Throughout the cabin, there are 5 full bathrooms and 2 half baths, so getting ready for bed won’t be a hassle for your group. You’ll also find a CD player, high-speed wireless internet, and a flat and paved driveway for 5-6 vehicles (including room for a trailer) to make your stay easy and convenient. What are you waiting for?! Smoky Mountain memories await at The Appalachian in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Feast your eyes on epic mountain views just through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the open and cozy living room. With exposed beams overhead, a stone (gas) fireplace, and hardwood floors, this space provides that sought-after cabin vibe and makes you feel right at home in the Smokies. Plop on the L-shaped, cushiony sofa and let your worries and cares drift away with the gorgeous views only a glance away. There’s also a large area rug to keep your toes comfy in winter and a ceiling fan above to keep summer days cool. At night, flip on the big screen TV for a bit of entertainment or enjoy a quiet read in the rocking chair.
With an open concept throughout the home, the kitchen is quite spacious and keeps you connected with the whole group while preparing snacks and meals. Fully equipped, this modern kitchen features tons of counter space plus stainless-steel appliances and all the pots, pans, dish-ware, cutlery, and mugs you’ll need to whip up and serve your favorite recipes. Brew endless pots of joe every morning, brown bagels before heading out for a healthy hike, keep fresh ingredients and restaurant leftovers in the fridge, rinse baking dishes in the double sink, and pile the mess in the handy dishwasher. Large-group meals are made easy at The Appalachian!
Just off the kitchen awaits the dining area with a large table, 4 cushioned chairs, and a matching bench, seating 6 comfortably. Combined with bar seating for 8 at the kitchen’s breakfast bar and the living room sofa mere footsteps away, everyone can dine, chat, and laugh together in one open space. When mealtimes are over, clear the dining table, kitchen counters, and living room coffee table, then spread out various board games from home for a friendly tournament.
After the food’s settled and a game champion has been crowned, slap on your swimsuit and head for the private indoor pool downstairs! Don’t want to lose sight of those pristine mountain views? Not to worry; you can enjoy the Smokies to the fullest while splashing in the pool, which is heated, 12 feet and 6 inches wide, 27 feet long, and 3-5 feet deep. This space boasts stone flooring, a set of cushioned wicker chairs, a matching table, a mounted flat-screen TV, beautiful scenery, and special pool features — including fountains, color-changing lights, and a tropical fish motif! The Appalachian is a true Smoky Mountain oasis for YOU.
Ready for more gaming fun? Head to the loft for arcade duels and pool table battles. In between victories, rest on the plump sofa and root for your best bud to win the next round. The best part? You’ll get a whole new view of the Smokies from the top of the living room’s wall of windows.
After dining, swimming, chatting, and playing, it’s time to unwind and hit the hay. The Appalachian boasts 5 bedrooms, 4 with a king-size bed and 1 with a queen bunk. Each bedroom comes with a flat-screen TV, and some offer direct deck access, keeping you close to nature. There are even 2 master suites! One master bath features an electric fireplace, which pairs quite nicely with spa baths in the garden tub. There are 5 full baths, some with garden tubs and stand-up showers (everyone can enjoy their preference), and 2 half baths. In other words, getting everyone ready to head to Dollywood in the morning won’t be a hassle. For extra sleeping space, this cabin offers 2 queen sleepers, meaning up to 16 guests may stay in complete comfort.
While the mountain views may be incredible from inside The Appalachian, for a real treat, venture onto the decks and soak in the Smokies outdoors. From wintry snow-capped peaks and spring wildflower blooms to lush trees in summer and picturesque autumn scenes, you’ll find nothing but the best views at this cabin retreat! Relax with a cup of joe in the rocking chairs or hop in the muscle-soothing hot tub and admire the mountain landscape in full. Better yet, up your shindig game with the gazebo’s gas grill and picnic table. Paired with party tunes, this will be a hip-hop-happening spot at the cabin. There’s even an additional picnic-style grill nearby if you prefer to use charcoal…or if the group is just super hungry.
There are even more amenities?! Of course — this is The Appalachian after all. This top-notch lodge provides a washer and dryer to keep laundry fresh and clean, high-speed wireless internet, and DVD, CD, and VCR players for your entertainment.

Our family had a great week at The Appalachian! Views were amazing and the location was close enough to all the attractions we wanted to take in but still felt secluded. The Appalachian had a great indoor pool that we all thoroughly enjoyed! There were a few surprises, we expected the home to have typical amenities (ice maker, dish towels, hot pads), but the folks at Smoky Mountain Cabins helped us out and made sure our family had a great week. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a mountain get away for a larger group.

Our stay at the Appalachian was lovely. The pool was a huge hit and the accommodations were excellent. The rental company does not guarantee a check in time, which was a little dicey since we were all traveling from out of state, but we were checked in shortly after our arrival, so it all worked out. If there are specific kitchen items you need in order to make meals, I would recommend you bring them -- we had to get creative in some circumstances. We were still able to prepare all planned meals with what was stocked in house. If we came back to Pigeon Forge, we would definitely give the Appalachian another look. We had a great time.

Our group really enjoyed the cabin. The views were breathtaking, the pool was a big hit and we ran across a bear during an evening walk. Glad no story to tell with that perk. A double rainbow on our last night to add to the beauty. We'll be back!

This cabin was amazing! Stunning Mountain View’s, the pool was amazing and definitely the hit of the week. It’s nicely heated and salt water, which eliminates the overpowering chlorine smell. The lights and bubblers on the pool added such a fun feature as well. We loved that there were chairs and a table to relax by the pool as well. The hot tub is huge, you can definitely fit several people, it was clean and heated up nicely. One thing I’d like to mention to the staff is the area around the pool could be swept and cleaned. Lots of ants and crumbs and clearly had not been cleaned between guests (or many guests). The bedrooms were fantastic, everyone had their own space and large bathrooms. Kids loved the pool table and arcade games. We enjoyed dinner on the deck patio overlooking the view, and the grill worked well for steaks, chicken, and burgers. Absolutely amazing stay! We’ll be back!

Clean and well stocked cabin. Had a great time. The views, the pool and the hot tub were awesome. Had a bear roll through.

Get ALL GROCERIES & Essentials before heading to the cabin. Once you arrive you will not want to leave. Just beautiful

We really enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely stay again and would recommend!
Gunnar R. – 05/05/2021
The whole family enjoyed it. Especially the pool and hot tub. Great mix of being close enough to town to go shopping and dinner shows, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful mountain views

While the cabin and location was absolutely beautiful, they were lacking some items. They had everything to cook with except for pot holders. I had to use the kitchen towels provided to remove hot dishes from the oven. I was able to get over that, but then I also needed the same towels for to do the dishes. A disposable dish sponge would have been nice, as well as some extra trash bags, as only one was provided. Overall, a beautiful place and lots of fun was had.

The property is amazing and just as described. We were there for a bachelorette party and had a great time. Loved the indoor pool and hot tub. The kitchen and gas grill made for easy dinners. The big kitchen table was perfect for playing cards against humanity. Everyone having their own room and bathroom was awesome. We were sad to leave!

This was the first time we booked a cabin for our family. My husband and I booked this particular cabin to meet our needs of our children, grandchildren and parents. The grandchildren really enjoyed the swimming pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. Shaun made the check in very easy and was very quick to respond to any questions that we may have had. We definitely would stay at this cabin again. We made so many memories with our family! Thank you again.
Melissa T. – 03/21/2021
We enjoyed everything about the cabin
Addrienne H. – 03/19/2021
This place is amazing, great views, great property. Only negative I can leave is it is missing Big pots, and pot holders. Would defiantly book again!
Colleen T. – 03/14/2021
Perfect sized cabin for 14 adults and the pool was perfectly heated for wintry weather!
Jennifer H. – 03/12/2021
Had a great get away weekend with friends. Enjoyed the views and amenities.
Eric. J – 02/18/2021
Rental process was detailed but easy to complete especially with electronic signatures. Stayed extra night and worked that out easily as well

Our group of two families, kids 1-14 and our Frenchie loved the home. The layout was perfect, lots of places to sleep, lots of rest rooms, excellent pool, fabulous hot tub, nice pool table, lots of TV’s. I especially loved the safety features of the pool area, key coded door for entry, safety cover, it made life with a toddler more comfortable for us. The home was close to anything that we needed or anywhere that we wanted to go, but yet not downtown which was a huge perk. The views were gorgeous, we experienced warm, sunny views and a snowy day, all breathtaking. House could be cleaner, there were a few bandaids stuck to the living room wall, floors were swept but most likely not mopped as there were spots and a few spills when we arrived, but the bathrooms and linens were very fresh and clean. It was a fun place to celebrate my birthday and to watch the super bowl!
Karen B. – 02/05/2021
Very nice cabin. Loved the indoor pool definitely a hit with the kids
Nadine D. – 01/22/2021
Really enjoyed pool and hot tub. Conveniently located close to town. Very spacious.
Renee B. – 12/22/2020
Very nice place several nice cabins around beautiful view
Cody J – 12/07/2020
Beautiful scenery, nice location, kids loved the indoor pool. Property manager was responsive to all calls and very pleasant to work with. However one of the reasons for a low score on cleanliness the hot tub was not clean. Everything else was wonderful.
Debora S. – 11/30/2020
Plenty of room. Enjoyed the indoor pool though the room and water could have been warmer. Would have loved to set outside more but the weather was a little chilly ( November).
Lydia S. – 11/29/2020
Had an amazing time away. Beautiful cabin and location with great views. Made my birthday the best ever!!

The cabin and indoor pool were amazing for our family. Views are glorious! Kids absolutely loved being able to do outdoor adventures during the day and then hit the pool in the evening. The cabin was very clean and comfortable for a group of 15. I do agree with another guest, for the price we paid there were some very basic items missing that seemed to constantly be an annoyance for our group as we made meals. Oven mitts, baking sheets, large pots, cutting boards, metal grill spatula for grill, empty grill propane tank, etc. And the listing should state you need to bring your own shampoo, soap and hand soap. Overall, amazing cabin and views were well worth the minor inconveniences which can be easily addressed. Thank you for having us at your beautiful cabin!

A: Tough to answer. It depends on the size of your motor home. The roads are all paved and there are few areas where there is a very hard right turn going up hill (almost to the point of going back the same direction). Hope this helps.
